Summary:
You will be a part of
Genelabs’ research organization in the discovery and development of
small molecule therapeutics for the treatment of infectious diseases.
Your contribution as a team member includes assay development and
screening of compound libraries against specific viral targets to
discover and optimize lead compounds for development.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but
are not limited to:

Develop assays and
screen compounds in cell-based and biochemical assays to discover
potent and non-toxic anti-viral compounds.

Use appropriate
automation for high-throughput screening (HTS) against anti-viral
targets.

Perform assays to
validate lead compounds and characterize lead compound mode of
action.

Analyze data and
calculate inhibition constants.
-
Communicate findings
to scientists from diverse disciplines.
Qualifications:
-
This position requires
a BS or MS in Cell, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry or a related
field of life sciences.

Academic or industry
research experience in basic techniques of tissue culture, RT-PCR,
and enzyme activity measurements.

Clear understanding of
quantitative analysis.
-
Adaptive to dynamic
and timeline-conscious environment.
-
